Happy New Year from Zest News!
Another year begins with positive thoughts for the future and the knowledge that you’ve still gotta pay for Christmas, both financially and figuratively.
And in figuratively, we mean that your body is going to need an overhaul this month, an MOT if you will, to get your body back on track.
We’re going to experiment with the newsletter in the next few weeks and put out a shorter, more succinct version that focuses on our produce supply, demand and excess and how that information can be best relayed to you, our current customers.
Produce Availability
Over the past few weeks, this section has been where we share the current farming and supply chain issues and how this affects the availability and price of the produce you order.
After going through what seems like months of issues with potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and more recently, expensive strawberries, we’re delighted to confirm that we have no supply issues for the start of the year.
Prices have come down and produce is as plentiful as it can be.
We’re currently using Egyptian strawberries and the prices have dropped considerably on these in the past 2 weeks.
Brussel sprouts are now much harder to get hold of, but we’re fairly confident that the demand for them has somewhat waned – to put it lightly!
If and when these supplies again go short or go up in price, we’ll let you know as soon as we know.
The Zest website is taking on an overhaul in the coming weeks and months as we strive to make it easier to use and more accessible, giving you more control over how you order with us.
There will be more helpful content created for the website, to give you all the information you require on our service and produce, for you to make informed buying choices.
We’re also looking at the way we let you order from us – we want to make it seamless and provide extra benefits for those who utilise the online ordering portal.
Special Offers
We still have some of our special offers from last year to try and save you money on dried goods, so if your budget has been stretched over the festive period, now might be the time to look for savings.
Essential Cuisine Chicken Stock and Lamb/Veal Jus remain popular, as are the sauces from Macphie, including Brandy Sauce, Crème Anglaise and Crème Brûlée.
Don’t forget that many people and businesses in the hospitality industry who didn’t have time for the Xmas party before Christmas might still be celebrating with a party in January, so with many people eating out this month, you can cut your costs and improve your bottom line with the offers above and below.
We have Thai Red Curry Paste on a fantastic offer and Chipotle Chilli Paste, so don’t miss out on your spice.
Some of these items have short dates, so we’re able to offer big discounts.
Call us today on 01332 83 42 42 to get the best price on all these items and get them delivered tomorrow morning, as part of your existing order.
Send your thoughts about this newsletter and any other feedback here.
Community Spotlight – if your business or someone you know is having an event or has achieved something in this industry and we can promote or even sponsor it, let us know.
Thank you for being a part of Zest News. We look forward to sharing more exciting updates and content with you in the coming weeks!
Zest regards,
The Zest Team
